What is simulation?. A simulation is an approximate imitation of the operation of a process or system that represents its operation over time. In project management, simulations are widely used in requirements modeling, schedule and cost forecasting, forecasting the impact of risks on projects time and cost etc. All What-if scenarios comes under the purview of simulations.
