Trend analysis

Trend analysis is the widespread practice of collecting information and attempting to spot a pattern. In project management trend analysis is widely used in monitoring and control project work. Using trend analysis, we try to forecast. Trend analysis is an integral part of Earned Value Management . While monitoring and controlling projects, trend analysis is used to forecast expected cost of completion and date of completion (Earned Value Management).
